Post-Event Recap: Networking Session with Economics Graduate Students

Updated: May 1, 2020

JHU Economics Club's first networking event successfully kicked off on March 4th, Wednesday. Joined by four Economics graduate students as panels, 20+ undergraduates were able to learn about the different journeys each panel member took to get to where they are now.

Starting from the reasons for pursuing the study of economics, the panel members shared the unique experiences they had prior to joining Hopkins for a PhD in economics. The undergraduate students were able to learn about the panel members’ diverse backgrounds and ask questions on their past work experiences in banking, consulting and research industries. With active participation from both the panel & event attendees, our first networking session ended in a success.

- We are planning to host more networking sessions in the upcoming semester, so stay tuned!

- Thanks to everyone who attended our first networking session. Special thanks to the graduate students, Matthew, Strahil, Emma and Pavel who agreed to join our first networking session and share their experiences!
